Hygiene Kits for Homeless Student

null  null

Members of the church began assemblying 70 hygiene kits for homeless students of the South Colonie school system.  At the present, there are about 40 students in grades K through 8 who are considered homeless (i.e. residing in the home of a relative or friend, a county furnished motel room or a shelter).  There are another 30 students in grades 9 through 12 who are homeless.  Each hygiene kit contains a toothbrush, toothpaste, toothbrush holder, body wash, shampoo, comb, and washcloth.  The kits for the older students also contain razors, shaving cream, and deodorant.

Food and Coat Collection

Halloween - October 31, 2016

On Monday, October 31, 2016, we will visit about 180 homes near the church to collect used coats and non-perishable food items.  The used coats will be distributed to the community of south Troy and the food items will be given to St. Ambrose food pantry for distribution.

If you would like to join us, meet us at the church at 6:00 pm on Monday, October 31.  It will take us a little over an hour to canvas the neighborhood.  If you have a coat or food items to donate, call us at (518) 785-5678 and let us know where to pick up the items.
